yesterday at the Standard hotel we co-hosted a lunch and secret Santa gift exchange
along with our friends at Tumblr and invited some of our favorite bloggers.
We invited bloggers including Alicia Lund (Cheetah is the New Black), and Jeff
Carvalho (Selectism) to toast the holidays with us in a festively decorated private
dining room at the Standard hotel.
The menu included family-style dishes like Locust Farm braised kale, house-made
fettuccini, and Creekstone Farm New York strip (garlic fries, included).
Guests were in the holiday spirit, chatting about their upcoming travel plans
and exchanging Instagram names.
In advance of the lunch, each guest was given a secret Santa and was tasked
with finding him or her the perfect gift from J.Crew.

One of our favorite cocktails, the Penny Drop—an updated version of the
Moscow Mule—is made with vodka, ginger syrup, lime juice and ginger beer
and is served in a copper mug.
